Armani Code

Armani Code is the black bottle from 2004 and still the one men ask for when they want something for evenings. Bergamot and lemon open it, briefly, then star anise and olive blossom, then a base of guaiac wood, tonka, leather and tobacco that carries it. It is sweet-spicy and warm; moderate projection, six to seven hours. Cool nights and air conditioning suit it far better than midday heat. Reliable, familiar, and easy to buy for someone else.
